When I was a little girl, my Grandmother would take me to visit her twin maiden aunts - Aunt Dode and Aunt Purdy. They lived in a wonderful old Victorian house with a wrap-around porch that sheltered a round room they used for a parlor. We would go for tea and sit in the cool, dark parlor that smelled of lavender, tea, and fresh baked cookies. I felt so grown up! This collection of fabrics reminds of those simpler days when a bit of tea in a fancy cup was the highlight of a little girl's week.
