One of my favorite places to relax and be inspired is our family's small farm pond just a few minutes from my studio. On those rare occasions when Robert and I take time to do nothing at all, we lay on a quilt, read a good book and enjoy the sun on our faces. Sometimes, when even reading is too much effort, i just watch the wild flowers and tall grass bow to each other in the breeze, dancing to a tume that only they can hear. These simple things have inspired me to capture them on cloth to enjoy all year thru, even when I can't go to my favorite place. Take time to visit your favorite place. Be inspired to create a quilt and cherish the memories. For me, that's what quilting is all about. |
